Which one?
Who’s going to win the election? Is it going to be Trump, who wants the immi-grants to get deported from USA, so they don’t lose money, and they can be a stronger, independent country? Or should it be Clinton, who wants to keep the im-migrants and make them American citizens? It has definitely been a rough battle with harsh, exciting and considered speeches. The people must decide what they would rather like. Here in Denmark, we are also excited to see the result, becau-se the president will also have an important meaning for us. The USA is a big part of the world, and that effects a small country like Denmark on good and bad things.
The election piece by piece
That’s why we’ve been watching the hole election between 08-11-2016 to 09-11-2016 (Danish time). When the clock was 18:50 the eight, then Hillary clearly had the generality of the people. BT had a measurement on their website, which at that time told, that she had 71,4 % of the votes at that time. But it didn’t make her quite safe. I also looked at a measurement at Facebook from Viral America, where normal people at Facebook could vote, which president they would rather like. When the clock was 19:13, it was actually Trump, who was the leading per-son! The votes from Facebook users said 32.648 votes to Clinton and 36.905 votes to Trump. These numbers continued very fast going up, but in the following half hour, there still where the same difference between the numbers, with Trump in the front.
The winner
At 08:25 AM the ninth a Danish politician said at a live updating at DR2, that it has been one of the most boring elections in USA. In most of the election, did Trump have the generality of people, and that is a thing that came as a chock, for many people. Here at NovaStella, we thought, that Hillary would win, because that would be the most logic after the statistics and so on. But as the clock turned 08:31 Wednesday morning, then we found the winner. Trump had now 276 votes, which was all he needed to win the election. At this time, it’s was only 86% of the votes, that were counted, so Trump had a clearly majority.
What does the nation think about the winner?
The fact that Trump won the election, are there many people that does’nt like. Some says, that he will make war with his sick thoughts and meanings. Some pa-rents also comment on his sight at women and girls. They don’t want their chil-dren to grow up in a country, where there isn’t equality between the genders, and where female gender, should be seen on, as a weaker gender, than the males. But last night many Trump supporters disagreed on this. Especially the women said, that they didn’t care that much about Trump and his opinion about females, and that they were some strong and independent people, which could fight for themselves, and they didn’t need Hillary in the front. They just wanted the policy, that Trump had made.
The results meaning
This tells, that it wasn’t only the wealthy, working men, but also just the people, which wanted his policy, and who could see through his sometimes sick thoughts and speeches. Now he has won the election, the leader, the president for Ameri-ca the next four years, will be Donald Trump. As he made the winner speech, he promised, that he would be a great president for the nation USA. He promised to be a role model for the neighbor countries. We are here in Denmark not an actu-ally neighbor country, but we still care a lot for his role in the world. That’s also why many people in Denmark saw the election. But as told before, most of the Danish people, thought that it would be Clinton who won the election. I’ve also asked Maja Damgård, a school student at VGT in Denmark, what the plural in her class would have voted, and they said Hillary, so most people in Denmark were very surprised. But we hope, that he will do his job with the best consideration and caring, and that he will make the country a strong place. We also hope that it will affect Denmark in a good way.
